The Circle

“A church for people who thought they would never be in church again.”

The book of Acts says “they (early followers of Jesus) devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42)

We love the simplicity of that. And that’s what “The Circle” is all about. Our Sundays are intended to feel like home or a family. We read Scripture together but also allow a lot of time for questions and hearing from each other. This process enables us to bear each other’s burdens, hear different stories and perspectives, and becoming better followers of Jesus within the context of our culture and times.

We believe there is power in being known and that sharing with each other leads to real healing and hope. This is where we pray, listen, and encourage each other through life’s ups and downs. It’s isn’t perfect and sometimes a little messy but it’s real and we believe, in the end, that’s more meaningful.

All that to say, we don’t condemn traditional services! We love getting together to worship and focus our hearts on Jesus. We just also value the idea of gathering as a circle to better dive into scripture, work through our questions, and develop a unified group that can truly experience all that Jesus has for us.

We meet from 9:30-11:00 at 2800 Trotwood Ave. (Westminster Presbyterian Church) with childcare available (2 years to 8th grade).
