On Ramps

Highway driving is great. No stop lights, high speeds, and long stretches. Getting on them, however, requires a specially engineered road known as an on ramp. In the same way, people need on ramps to Jesus.

The HUB is intended to do just that. It’s an easy on ramp to get to know others. Believe it or not, church might not be what they need at the moment. People are, however, looking for friendships and if approached with something attractive (lunch, coffee, or a game night etc), are usually open. That’s what the HUB is all about. Connecting with others should be fun and easy. If you’d like to know more, please read the FAQ’s below.

What is the HUB?

It is NOT a Bible Study or bait and switch for church. The HUB is intended to help remove some “awkwardness” in meeting new people and enjoying friendships. Basically, if you like doing something, the HUB is an on ramp to having others potentially join you. This helps bring people together and create possibilities for God to work in their lives.

Who’s the HUB for?

Everyone. Our friends from church and especially our friends outside of church. It could be as simple as some pick up basketball games or a girls night out. If you enjoy it, there’s probably others that do as well.

How do I use the HUB?

Create an event by simply clicking the “Start Now!” button below. Fill it out and print it, then drop it off at the HUB table at City Place. Please make sure it’s something you would do, whether people come or not (don’t feel bad if no one signs up!). We’d also ask that you not create an event that requires a lot of planning. Keep it simple and most importantly, have fun!
